You have two email options when setting up your iPhone's email. You may use POP3 or IMAP. If you are not sure which is best for you, please read our article "What is the difference between POP3 and IMAP?"
After setting up your email account in cPanel, follow through these steps:
- Tap on settings app, and then tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendar"
- Next you will tap on "Add Account..."
- From the list available, you will then tap on the "Other" selection.
- After tapping on "New Account," you will need to have your email details on hand.
- Fill in your Name, email address, email password, and a description for this email account.
- The next screen will prompt you for either IMAP or POP3--select the choice that best suits you.
The following details will be example of what you will enter into for mail settings:
Incoming mail server
- hostname: mail.yourdomainname.com
- username: youremail@yourdomainname.com
- password: your email's password
Outgoing mail server
- hostname: mail.yourdomainname.com
- username: youremail@yourdomainname.com
- password: your email's password
Once you enter in these details, you will receive a little popup warning about that the certificate may not be valid, ignore/cancel it and another popup will appear. It will you ask if you want try setting up the account without SSL--tap on "Yes."
Now you're all setup to receive your website's email on your iPhone!
